Beef Vindaloo
Ingredients:
01. Boneless Beef 1kg (Cube cut)
02. Onion (Chopped) 1pcs Large
03. Oil or Ghee ½Cup
04. Cinnamon Stick 1" 3/4pcs
05. Cloves 8pcs
06. Cardamoms (Green) 8pcs
07. Garlic Paste 2tbs
08. Ginger Paste 2tbs
09. Vinegar ½Cup
10. Chili Powder 1tsp
11. Cumin Powder 1tsp
12. Ground Coriander 1tbs
13. Tamarind Pulp 2tbs
14. Sugar 2tsp
15. Curry Leaves 6pcs
16. Cumin Powder (Dry Fry) 2tbs
17. Salt & Pepper To test
Method:
- Fry onion in ghee until light brown
- Add cloves, cinnamon, cardamons and fry for a minute.
- Add ginger, garlic and stir for another minute.
- Add beef cubes and stir fry for 6 minute until liquid from beef dry.
- Add vinegar, chili, cumin, coriander, tamarind pulp and sugar, cover and cook for 30 minutes.
- Add little water if required.
- Cook on low heat for 40 minute or until beef is tender.
- The dish should have rich gravy.
- Add curry leaves when leaves turn crisp and dark brown, mix well.
- Serve hot with boiled rice polaw, or parata or as you wish.
